2016 Pride of Pike Independence Day Celebration To Be Held on July 2

WILLIAMSON - The Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority is excited to announce that after a five year absence, the Pride of Pike Independence Day Celebration will once again be held in 2016. The event will be held Saturday, July 2nd beginning at 4:00pm. The event will be held at the Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority Soccer Complex located on Twin Oaks Road in Williamson.

There are two ways that the community can make this event a success before the event is even held. Individuals and businesses can become an event sponsor at the $100, $200, $300 or $500 level, and individuals and businesses can be a vendor at the event.

Sponsorship of the Event

Sponsors at this year’s Pride of Pike Independence Day Celebration can help made this event a success.

The Platinum Level is $500 and includes: Company name on sponsor banner, 2 Vendor booths, 2 Parking passes, Company name announced over PA system as Platinum Level sponsor, and Company name listed in event advertising.

The Gold Level is $300.00 and includes: Company name on sponsor banner, 1 Vendor booth, 1 Parking pass, Company name announced over PA system as Gold Level sponsor, and Company name listed in event advertising.

The Silver Level is $200.00 and includes: Company name on sponsor banner, Company name announced over PA system as Silver Level sponsor, and Company name listed in event advertising.

The Bronze Level is $100.00 and includes: Company name on sponsor banner and Company name announced over PA system as Bronze Level sponsor.

Vendor Information

Vendor applications to this year’s event will be accepted up until Friday, June 24th. Some of the rules and regulations that apply to vendors are as follows:

All 15’ x 15’ booth rentals are $75.00 per space. There is an additional charge of $10.00 for a 20 amp electrical outlet, if needed. Registrants must provide heavy duty extension cord and surge protector. Registration fees are non-refundable. Click here to download a copy of the Booth Registration Form.

All vendors who wish to participate must fill out a registration form, including a complete list of all items you wish to sell and return it along with their fees no later than June 24th, 2016. All items submitted for sale must be approved by the committee and you will be notified prior to acceptance of your payment of any items not approved for sale on your list. No one will be permitted to sell any items not listed and approved on your registration form.

Spaces will be assigned on a first come-first served basis to registrants. To be assured a space, vendor’s fees must be paid no later than June 24th, 2016. All vendor fees are non-refundable.

Booth set-up is between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Absolutely no vehicles will be permitted on soccer fields after 3:00 p.m. and while the event is in operation. Booths are scheduled to be open from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Vehicles are not allowed back until booth is broken down and permission is given by the Event Coordinator. Each vendor will receive (2) two parking passes to park in the soccer complex lot.

Closing

The event will include kids’ activities, music, entertainment, food, vendors and conclude with a spectacular fireworks show. “We are excited about this community opportunity and hope that you will decide to participate, said Director Kevin Teate.

There are some things to note before coming to this event. Pets are not allowed on park grounds. Tobacco products and alcohol will not be allowed inside the park. Absolutely no roller blades, skates, skateboards, hoverboards or bikes will be permitted to be used on the park grounds during the event. And Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority will not be held liable for any damages to or loss of any merchandise or injuries incurred while participating in this event or while on the event property.

The event will be held Saturday, July 2nd beginning at 4:00pm. The event will be held at the Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority Soccer Complex located on Twin Oaks Road in Williamson.

Admission to the event is free; however, there will be a $5.00 per vehicle charge.
