5. APPROVE/ DENY FIRST READING OF THE FY 2019-2020 BUDGET
CM Bickley said that he would be happy to address any questions that they have.
Commissioner Powers asked about the ambulance contact--whether it would be discussed later and if the $50,000 increase is in the budget. He was told yes. He asked if the budget is balanced. He was advised that the budget is balanced now. He said that he understands the budget better from a meeting with the county manager where he had questions from the last meeting about the commission voting on the ambulance service for the next 36 months and not knowing what was going to happen.
Motion to approve the reading of the budget. Jenkins, Powers. Approved 5-0.

The Pike County Board of Commissioners held its 2nd Reading of the FY 2019-2020 Budget on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Courthouse, Main Courtroom, at 16001 Barnesville Street, Zebulon. Chairman Briar Johnson convened the meeting and Commissioners Tim Daniel, Tommy Powers, Tim Guy and James Jenkins attended. County Manager Bobby Bickley, County Attorney Rob Morton and County Clerk Angela Blount were also present. (O.C.G.A. § 50-14-1(e) (2))

County Manager Bobby Bickley addressed the Board stating they have before them the second reading of the budget for FY 2019-2020. CM Bickley stated there have been no changes since the first reading; however, he is available to answer any questions.
