CONCORD - The Concord Jubilee was born in October of 1973. The Concord Community Club had the first booth at the Jubilee selling biscuits and sausage cooked on a wooden stove with proceeds from the sales going to support projects in the city.
PLEASE NOTE: Pictures and a livestream of the parade are at: https://www.facebook.com/pikecountytimes/.
In 1976, funds went toward buying a much-needed fire truck -- a 750 gallon FMC high pressure pumper truck – that was the pride of the town. That truck led to Concord’s first volunteer fire department.
And now more than 50 years later, what began as a few craft and food booths has turned into an annual tradition to bring the community together to celebrate another year, another harvest, and blessings in the form of many items that can be found at the Jubilee.
Admission is free.
There will be many children’s activities including Thomas the Tank Train, inflatables, and a ride on the ponies at The Pony Patch.
There will be LOTS of food including BBQ, bloomin’ onions, ice cream, boiled peanuts, Pirate Nutrition, and so much more!
There will be a TON of crafts including custom woodwork, homemade soaps and candles, handmade jewelry, home décor, home canned jellies and preserves, and so much more!
