Back to School Bash 2015

ZEBULON - The Pike Community Resource Network 2015 Back to School Bash was held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 8:30 am – 10:00 am Pike Memorial Annex building. More than 200 children were provided with school supplies. All remaining backpacks and school supplies were provided to the Pike County Schools.

The Pike Community Resource Network would like to thank the following community partners who made available 250 school supply bags and back packs through their generous donations: Beyond The Bell, Brightmoor Healthcare, Inc., Chick-fil-a Dwarf House of Griffin, Christ Chapel , Church of Joy, Concord Baptist Church, Davis & Co. Inflatables, LLC, Pike County Department of Family and Children’s Services, First Baptist Church, Zebulon, Georgia Farm Bureau – Mack Brown (Agent), Girl Scout Troop 1334, Grady EMS-South Georgia Ambulance, Harps Crossing Baptist Church—Hollonville Campus, HOPE 4 Tomorrow, Inc., J. Joel Edwards Public Library, Kidz Konnection, Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System, LEAP Learning Partners McIntosh Trail Early Childhood Development Council, Inc., Meansville Baptist Church, Miller's Collision, Morehouse-CAPP, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Oak Hill Baptist Church, Old Mt. Ten vendors provided information for families regarding their services or organizations during the event. Chicken biscuits and bottled water were provided to families and volunteers courtesy of Chick-fil-a Griffin Dwarf House and First Baptist Church, Zebulon.

Deputy Michael Wright, the Pike County High School Resource Officer, and Pike County Sheriff’s Department, coordinated the CHAMPS vehicle, Grady EMS, and Zebulon Fire Department vehicles being on display for families and children to view during the event. Ponies were available for petting and pictures courtesy of Perfect Pony Parties, and an inflatable obstacle course and jump house through Davis and Co. inflatables was enjoyed by all.
