ZEBULON - The Pike County Pirate Regiment traveled to Jacksonville State University in Alabama on Saturday, October 18th to compete in the Marching Southerners' 2014 Contest of Champions.
The band's hard work and dedication paid off when they earned ratings of Superior (the highest rating available) in all categories. The band also swept their subdivision and division competition. This was the Pirate Regiment's second competition of the season. The band also received superior ratings in September at the Wolverine Classic in Cumming, GA.
The citizens of Pike County should be proud to know that such an outstanding group of students are representing their school throughout Georgia and surrounding states. The band continues to perform at the highest possible standards under the direction of Mr. Chad Reynolds.
