PSC Election Results and Voting for Democratic Special Primary Runoff

ZEBULON - There will be only one polling location for the Democratic Special Primary Runoff taking place on July 15, 2025. Voters wishing to take part in the Democratic Special Primary Runoff must cast their votes at the Zebulon Polling Place located at the PCHS Auditorium.

Please remember that Early Voting for the Democratic Special Primary Runoff will be held at the Board of Elections and Registration Office. Early Voting will be available July 7 – 11; 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily.

The Elections Office wishes to get the word out to voters so they can be informed of this change.

If you voted in the Republican Special Primary, you will not be eligible for this Democratic Primary Runoff. You must vote in the same party runoff as the one you voted in at the original primary, and there is no Republican Party Runoff.

If there are any questions regarding the July 15, 2025 Special Primary Runoff, please contact the Board of Elections and Registration Office.

Since no candidate received 50% plus one vote, there will be a Democratic runoff between Waites and Hubbard. Results are below this section.

The winner of the Republican and Democratic races will face off in November for these two seats on the Public Service Commission (PSC).

The five members of the Public Service Commission make decisions about how much people pay for public services such as electricity (think Georgia Power), landline telephones, and natural gas. This commission and their staff hear consumer complaints and work to resolve complaints between citizens and public utilities. Even if we have an EMC that is not regulated by the PSC, ensuring that our neighbors are treated fairly is a good reason to go vote!
