Pike County Voter Information Page 2016 - Board of Education District 4

ZEBULON - This is a four year seat that is currently held by Incumbent Charlie Garrard who is not running for re-election. Beth Camp faces no opposition and will be sworn into office in January.

I am Beth Camp of Concord seeking the uncontested Pike County Board of Education District 4 seat currently held by Mr. Charlie Garrard who is not seeking re-election.

Over the past 10 years, I volunteered with Pike County Schools serving as a parent volunteer, Chair of PCMS Advisory Counsel, member of Superintendent's Advisory Team, and most recently as Pike FFA Alumni President during fund raising and building FFA Alumni Barn at PCHS. In the community I served as a Girl Scout troop leader, Sunday School teacher and youth leader, District and State Delegate at 2012 Republican Conventions, Southern Rivers Energy Member Committee and currently serving as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Georgia Club Lamb Producers Association (GCLPA).

Happily married for 21 years to Mark Camp (Southern States Cooperative), we are blessed with our daughter, Meredith, who is a freshman at Pike County High School. I know that learning is a life long endeavor. I hold a degree from Georgia Military College and am currently attending Clayton State University working on another. I am actively licensed through the Georgia Real Estate Commission since 2006, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty of Zebulon, and member of the Heart of Georgia Board of Realtors.

We moved to Pike in 2002 because we wanted our daughter to grow up in a strong community and get a quality education. I am proud to say this is my home. Every child in this county is important and deserves the opportunity to live up to their full potential. Our future and theirs is dependent upon educating our children so they can compete in and contribute to the world. My goal as Pike County Board of Education District 4 member is to truly represent Concord & Molena on the BOE. I humbly ask for your vote.
