Marty Harbin
State Senator Marty Harbin announced Monday that he will seek reelection for the 16th Senate District, which encompasses Fayette, Lamar, Pike, and Spalding counties.
Senator Harbin stated: “It has been both an honor and a privilege to serve the people of the 16th District as their senator the last two years, and I look forward to continuing to work diligently for them in the Georgia State Senate.
“During my first term in office, I have been able to bring a fresh conservative perspective to the table. In the case of the Milner Community Library, we saved the taxpayers of Georgia almost half a million dollars by using inmate labor for the construction.
“I voted against the second largest tax increase in the state’s history. I have been at the front lines of the battle for Religious Liberty in our state, as well as standing strong for our First and Second Amendment rights. I have and always will fight for the unborn - protecting their right to life as well as fighting tirelessly for the rights of all Georgians.
“If reelected, I will continue to stand strong for the good people of the 16th District. I ran on a platform of leadership, courage, and integrity to preserve the liberty that our nation was founded on. I am committed to that and will continue to represent the conservative values of "we the people" at the Georgia State Capitol and everywhere I have the opportunity to serve."
