Results of the General Election 2014

ZEBULON - Here is a summary of the results from the November General Election for the County-wide Liquor By the Drink Referendum, the U.S. Senate race, and Georgia Governor races.

20% of Pike County's registered voters have voted already. 240 out of 272 absentee by mail ballots already been returned to the Voter Registrar's Office, and 1,686 early voters have voiced their opinion at the ballot box already. There are approximately 10,200 registered, active voters in Pike County who are eligible to vote in this election. There were over 300 votes cast just on Friday!

To put this into perspective, let me compare this to the May 2014 vote. 2,474 votes were cast in Pike County out of 10,040 registered voters giving us a 24.64% turn out in Pike County. We have almost surpassed the May vote just in early voting. Pike County did not surpass the 76.68% historic vote of 2012 when 8,151 out of the 10,630 registered voters in Pike County went to the polls.

There are 10,157 registered voters in Pike County. 5,707 voters cast their ballots in this election. Pike County had a 56.19% turnout in this election which is better than the state turnout of 46.58 %. There are 8 provisional ballots that could be included in the final results on Friday.
