Mother-Daughter Duo Win Recipe Contest
By: Brooklyne Wassel, Pike County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee Chair

ZEBULON - During Georgia’s Ag Week 2023 celebration, Pike County Farm Bureau hosted a strawberry recipe contest to elevate this year’s highlighted agricultural commodity, strawberries. Strawberries are now in season and making their appearance across farms in middle Georgia which made them the perfect star in recipes.

Unique recipes were submitted to the local Farm Bureau office in Zebulon where winners were chosen by judge Alexis McMichael, Customer Service Representative and newest addition to the Pike County Farm Bureau family.

Christy Reeves and Hannah Reeves won big as the adult and youth winners and were awarded their cash prizes along with homemade strawberry shortcake on March 24, 2023.

Farm Bureau wishes to thank all those who submitted recipes in this year’s inaugural recipe contest and hopes to see more delicious entries next year!
