CONCORD - A call went out to the Pike County Fire Department shortly before 4 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 to respond to 3195 Caldwell Bridge Road in Concord. The house was unoccupied and was for sale/under contract at the time of the fire.
Personnel from Stations 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 responded to the call as well as Auxiliary and Headquarter. Three tankers and three engines responded to the fire. Volunteer firefighters were on the scene from approximately 4 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Approximately 12,000 gallons of water was used on this fire through Pike County's water shuttle relay system.
The cause of this fire is under investigation. The house was a complete loss. No other buildings were in danger during the fire and there was no threat to surrounding houses or properties.
