McIntosh Trail Gardening Associates Presents...

BARNESVILLE - The McIntosh Trail Gardening Associates (formerly McIntosh Trail Master Gardeners) would like to invite you to an unusual program to be presented at the wetlands trail in Barnesville (between Akins and the Sheriff's Office) on Thursday, April 10 or Monday, May 5. Both programs will begin at 3:00 p.m. and last about two hours. You are welcome to attend one or both programs. These programs are being sponsored by the McIntosh Trail Gardening Associates and are free. We will also offer free water, lemonade and iced tea.

Our speaker for both programs will be Rosemary Kramer, a student at Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston. Rosemary has been fascinated with birds for several years and, among other things, has learned to mimic their calls so well that the birds will come to her. The wetlands trail will be the perfect location to witness all the activity. This program promises to be well worth your time, and we hope you will join us. Bring along a friend or family member who would enjoy the program as well.

Rosemary is currently trying to earn the necessary funds (about $1,500+) to cover her expenses to attend a nature camp later this summer in the Southwestern United States. She's very excited about this camp because it is for students who have a real desire to learn about the amazing world that surrounds us. Our two programs in Barnesville and the beverages will be free, but donations for Rosemary's trip will be appreciated very much. Need more information or have questions? Call 706-601-0420.
