Upson County... Road Closure on the Jeff Davis Bridge over Ten Mile Creek beginning March 4 for a Bridge Replacement Project

UPSON COUNTY - GDOT contractors will close the Jeff Davis Bridge over Ten Mile Creek, 2 miles northwest of Thomaston, for replacement starting March 4, 2025. The closure will last approximately 180 days and is for the bridge replacement project.

Detour Map includes the suggested routes:

• Jeff Davis Westside of Bridge will be detoured West (6.4 miles) to SR74/ Crest Hwy going east (8.5 miles) to West Gordan St (1.6 miles) to US19/41 North/Church St (3.6 miles) ending at Jeff Davis Eastside of Bridge.
• Jeff Davis Eastside will be detoured east (1.2 miles) to US19/41/Church St South (3.6 miles) to West Main St (1.6 miles) to SR 74/Crest Hwy going west (8.5 miles) end at Jeff Davis onthe westside of Bridge.
• Fire Tower Rd, Skelton Rd, Burkett Rd and Old Alabama Rd will be Detoured to Jeff Davis Westside of Bridge
• Baker Britt Rd will be detoured to Jeff Davis Westside of Bridge or SR 74 east
• Hannahs Mill Rd will be detoured to Jeff Davis eastside of Bridge or West Main St.
