New Year, New Members - Come Learn About Kiwanis!

CONCORD - This is your invitation to join us to learn about Kiwanis. Come out to the Concord Café at noon on Thursday, January 19, 2017. We have opportunities available for people to lead and serve!

Kiwanis Club of Pike County is here to serve the children of Pike County. We also serve others at risk in the community by partnering with organizations that serve at-risk citizens.

There are many examples of programs that Kiwanis Club of Pike provides in our community. Bringing Up Grades (BUG) rewards student at Pike County Elementary School for bringing up grades in reading and math. We also assist The American Red Cross with the Red Cross Blood Drive at the Pike Senior Center.

Santa for a Senior is another way to help in the community. We purchase Christmas gifts for elderly Pike citizens who receive Meals on Wheels. And Tour de Pike is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It's a 20 year tradition that brings people to our community to enjoy bike riding.

A Gordon College Scholarship is established and funded by Kiwanis and given to a Pike County Senior each year. We also provide and serve lunch at the Special Olympics every year too.

The money we raise has been donated to the Pike County High School Chorus, Pike County Middle School Basketball, Pike County High School FFA, Troop 37 Boy Scouts, and Pike County Middle School Special Education. We have also donated to building a garden at the elementary school, to the Pike County Library, and to the R.E.A.C.H. After School Program. There is too many to list!

All the money that we raise stays in Pike County. Are you ready to find out more?

You are invited to the Concord Café at noon on Thursday, January 19, 2017 to learn how to become a member of Kiwanis. We have opportunities available for people to lead and serve. Please join us!
