Pike County Chief Magistrate Judge Marcia Callaway-Ingram Honored with 2025 Humanitarian of the Year Award

ZEBULON - The Georgia Council of Magistrate Judges awarded Pike County Chief Magistrate Judge Marcia Callaway-Ingram the 2025 Humanitarian of the Year Award. The award honors and celebrates the work of an individual who has helped others in their professional life and enriched their community by volunteering their time and talents to serve others. Recipients of this award embrace integrity, justice, and compassion, and inspire others to reach greater success.

Marcia Callaway-Ingram has served as Chief Magistrate Judge of Pike County for over 15 years, since May 25, 2010. Judge Callaway-Ingram was nominated for this award by her peers, who describe her as a model of professional excellence as well as being influential, inspiring, encouraging, and a great mentor.

Her peers state that she takes time to pour into other magistrate judges the invaluable knowledge she has gained throughout her time on the bench, doing so graciously and in a manner that keeps others coming to her for advice and guidance.

Her peers also state that whether its other judges, litigants, victims, or family members of those appearing before her, she never hesitates to use that time to encourage others to push through and overcome obstacles they may be facing.

Judge Callaway-Ingram is known to tell those who appear before her not to define themselves or what their future holds by the "bumps in the road" that bring them into her courtroom. Her peers commend how well she serves her community by exercising keen judgment to keep Pike County safe and how she treats all litigants fairly and impartially.

Additionally, Judge Marcia Callaway-Ingram serves her community by volunteering locally, particularly in programs related to the Arts, a lifelong passion of hers.

For these reasons and more, Judge Marcia Callaway-Ingram was awarded the 2025 Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Georgia Council of Magistrate Court Judges.
