ZEBULON - The Pike County Chamber of Commerce 2013 Leadership Pike class went above and beyond with accomplishing three class projects. Through sponsorships and donations Leadership Pike was able to renovate and refresh the City of Williamson’s playground along with contributing funds to assist in the maintenance, contribute to the purchasing of recreation equipment for the Old Mount Calvary’s After School Program and purchase an early literacy computer station to be used by all children at the J. Joel Edwards Public Library.

Leadership Pike provides an opportunity for participants to develop and enhance their leadership skills through a series of skill-based sessions. In addition, the program provides an opportunity to experience and understand the challenges and success of the community through issue-based sessions that include Government, Education, Public Safety, Social Issues, Agribusiness, Healthcare and Industry. The next class will be offered in January of 2015.
