ZEBULON - Four roads are being resurfaced with LMIG funds from the state and a 30% match from Pike County. Sullivan, Twin Oaks, Dripping Rock, and Ethridge Mill Roads are a much easier drive today thanks to the work of Pike Public Works and ER Snell which won the bid to perform this work for the county.
Public Works cut out sections of the road instead of simply filling in potholes prior to the resurfacing on each road. ER Snell did the work on Kings Road several years ago and were praised for their work in the meeting when they were awarded the low bid on this resurfacing project. Residents are happy with an easier drive on their vehicles.
All that remains on this contract is the striping, according to Public Works Director Todd Goolsby.
