GRSP welcomes Laura Chambley-Shadrick as the new Program Manager

ZEBULON - Georgia Rotary Student Program recently named Laura Chambley-Shadrick as Program Manager. Shadrick comes to GRSP with more than 17 years of experience in higher education, ranging from all aspects of the student experience from housing, admissions, student success, financial aid to graduation, serving at Gordon State College for 15 years and Georgia Military College for the past two years.

In her role at GRSP, Shadrick will replace the former marketing and development role. She will work closely with the GRSP Chair, officers, directors, trustees, staff, GRSP Foundation as well as Georgia Rotary Clubs and GRSP students promoting the cause of world peace through higher education by assisting students as she handles the daily operations to free up Program Director Katheryne Fields to raise awareness and funds for the organization. Zebulon, Georgia has always been home for Shadrick. She attended Pike County Schools before earning associate degrees from Gordon State College in both Fine Arts and Business Administration. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University, and then a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University.

“Laura is sharp-minded with an incredible work-ethic,” Fields said. “She is able to review systems and make an immediate impact as well as take on the tasks that require technology and creative solutions. She is an asset to our team.”

Shadrick is a member of the Pike Family Connection Collaborative board of directors, The Pike County Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and the Pike County Optimist Club, where she was recently presented with The Optimist Award for bringing out the best in youth, community and others. In her free time, Shadrick enjoys being at home on the farm with her husband, Chris, her 12-year-old son, Austin, and her assortment of pets from her beloved chickens to cats, dogs and other animals on the Ark. Shadrick can be reached at lauras @ grsp.org.
