ZEBULON - Each year Prayer Power accepts nominations from the community for the “Saints in Light" Award. An award which is presented to individuals serving our community. Those who have been a spiritually inspiring, motivating, and encouraging influence in the community, and who openly and with love work for the betterment of the community and the people they come in contact with. Because they reflect the true meaning of love and service in the community, they inspire and empower others to do the same.
This year Prayer Power has for the first time selected a couple as the worthy recipients: Sam and Johnnie Glass. Their service with the Pike County Outreach Center and with The Outreach Treatment Transport Ministry has been a blessing to many in our community.
Both Sam and Johnnie also serve the church in various capacities. They do not seek recognition or gain for their service. They are truly the embodiment of what we should all be striving to display: a servant’s heart and the love of God.
