1st Annual Sensory Fall Festival Held at Pike County Assembly of God

ZEBULON - The Pike County Navigator Team along with Children of the Promise sponsored the 1st Annual Fall Festival for Children with Disabilities and their siblings on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Pike County Assembly of God located on Hwy. 19 South, just south of Zebulon.

There were crafts, games, cookie decorating, sensory activities, hayrides, a bouncy house, family photos and lots of fun! Sensory activities included a sensory sand station where prizes were hidden inside of a flour and baby oil mixture and a sensory shaving station where the primary colors were added to the shaving cream to make secondary colors. The wagon ride was a favorite of many of the participants.

Approximately 75 people attended the 1st Annual Fall Festival for Children with Disabilities. There were many volunteers who helped bring joy and smiles to special needs children and their siblings.

Pike County Assembly of God holds a special children's church ministry for special needs children each week. It is called Children of Promise. For more information about Children of Promise, call the church at 770-567-1594. Photos submitted by Children of Promise.
