ZEBULON - The Allie Bankston Edwards Senior Center held a Sock Hop on Saturday, May 19th. They had hotdogs, chips, moon pies, RC Colas and a whole lotta fun!
Bob Clark played spun the records and Tom Lambert sang Elvis tunes while the crowd sang and danced along. There was even some bubble gum blowing going on at the end of the evening!
The Allie Bankston Edwards Senior Center is open to all Pike County residents who are 60 years of age and older or anyone married to someone who is 60 years of age or older. The Center offers lunch, activities, games, informational speakers and trips at no cost with daily transportation if needed.
Volunteers are needed to lead activities. Some of the materials that are needed for projects include magazines, craft supplies, a pool table, large print books, and piano or keyboard and senior issues magazines. For more information, call Rhonda McDougal at 770-567-3857.
