ZEBULON - The storm that rolled through Pike County on Thursday afternoon caused some damage in some parts of the county. These photos are from downtown Zebulon where trees came down on a house, blocked a road to a neighborhood, and brought down power lines.
Overall, there were three trees on houses, one power line down, and two trees that blocked roads completely with another road being partically blocked. Hall Street and Ivy Howard were completely blocked with Flat Shoals being partially blocked.
As calls came into the E-911 Center at the Sheriff's Office, the notifications went out to the appropriate Public Works Departments get trees removed both in the City of Zebulon and out in the county.
There are other places where trees came down in yards and in driveways, but those were handled by individual homeowners.
