GRIFFIN - The ride started on an overcast Saturday morning from Buffalo's Cafe in Griffin and ended at the VFW in Barnesville. Riders were helping to raise money for Cooper "Tyler" Nipper, son of Anna Cooper Chestosky and Christopher Nipper.
Tyler suffered an anoxic brain injury after a chest of drawers fell on him depriving his brain of oxygen. He has been hospitalized for some time and is looking at a long recovery. Family and friends are praying for a Miracle for their Super Ty.
Bikers have some of the biggest hearts of anyone that I know. A lot of people came together to make this fundraiser happen, and riders came out to support this family despite the overcast day.
Law enforcement from several counties worked together to provide an escort for the group, and drivers pulled over when they saw the blue lights of our escort from the Barnesville Police Department.
There is an account set up to help Tyler at United Bank. Supporters can ask to donate to Tyler Nipper, son of Anna Cooper Chestosky and Christopher Nipper. You an also donate through Gofundme.com by clicking here.
Thank you to law enforcement for helping keep the riders safe, and thank you to everyone who donated your time and efforts to help Tyler and his family!
