By Editor Becky Watts

ZEBULON - From parades to meetings to breaking news, Pike County Times has been busy reporting what was said in meetings and given on paper in response to open records.

Wrecks were the top stories of the year with the motorcycle wreck in front of the schools in August and the wreck at Pike Plaza at the turn of the new year were the top two read articles of the year.

The number three article for the year was breaking news about terminations at the Zebulon Police Department. That one is still ongoing.

The number four article of for the year was the follow-up on a wreck from last year that occurred at Pike Plaza, and number five was the November election results.

Number six was the story of a mail carrier who was the victim of a hit and run and showed how the community was supporting her and her family after the wreck.

And the number seven article for the year was about the new round a bout in Thomaston that is taking the place of the five way stop that has been the place of many accidents over the years.
