ZEBULON - The City of Zebulon held United Bank Appreciation Day on Friday, September 27, 2019 in the City of Zebulon Park. The City thanked United Bank for a $5,000 donation to buy the playground equipment that is pictured here.
There were thanks all around for those who have worked to make this park a reality over the years. It began with a lot full of trees that now holds a pavilion, water fountain, playground equipment, garden and bridge, and a walking track. The Crepe Myrtle Garden Club, the maintenance department, and the City Manager were thanked for their dedication to the park as well. (I'm pulling together some more history on the park too.)
Council member Mike Beres advised that the 50 cents on Zebulon citizens' water bills is spent right here at the park. He thanked the citizens and invited them to come out and see what their money is spent on.
The City of Zebulon Park located at 7818 Highway 19 S in Zebulon. (Across from Dairy Queen. Look for the City Hall sign.) The public is invited to use the park.
