ZEBULON - Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Zebulon for the Zebulon Downtown District Streetscape Phase II project until 3:55 p.m., November 6, 2014, at the City Hall Courtroom located at 7818 Highway 19 South, Zebulon, Georgia. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 4:00 p.m. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled receipt of bids for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days.
The work consists of the furnishing of all materials, labor and equipment for the complete construction of the Zebulon Downtown District Streetscape Project Phase II, including, but not limited to, erosion control, maintenance of traffic, grading, excavation, subgrade preparation, concrete surface course, sidewalks, lighting, signs, pavement marking, landscaping and grassing. The DBE goal for the project is 8%, and the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2013Edition, and applicable Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions apply to this project

Only Bidders on record with jB+a, Inc. as having received an original bid package may submit proposals. To be on record, contractor must register and purchase plans at DPS. Bidders submitting bids over $2,000,000 shall be prequalified with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Bidders submitting bids $2,000,000 or less shall be prequalified or registered subcontractors with the GDOT.
The City of Zebulon in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d—42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21, Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
