ZEBULON - Two candidates have qualified to run for State Senate District 16 in the November Election.

Marty Harbin, Incumbent, (Republican) and Amili Blake (Democrat) will be on the ballot.

MARTY HARBIN

As the incumbent candidate for Georgia’s 16th District Senate seat, I firmly believe in a government of, by, and for the people, represented by a God-honoring servant to the community. With a strong foundation rooted in faith, family, and freedom, I am committed to serving our district with integrity.

Raised with a strong work ethic and worked while earning a business degree from GSU. I started in business, became a husband, and over the years, my family has grown to include six children, their spouses, and twelve grandchildren. These personal experiences have given me a deep understanding of the values and concerns that are important to the families in our district. My role as a husband, father, father-in-love, and grandfather has taught me the importance of strong family bonds, education, and community support, all of which I will champion as your senator.

In addition to my family commitments, I have been a business owner for 47 years. This experience has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities that local businesses face. I have navigated the complexities of running a successful enterprise, which has honed my skills in management, problem-solving, and strategic planning. I understand the importance of a thriving local economy and will work tirelessly to create policies that support small businesses, encourage entrepreneurship, and attract new investments to our district.

For the past decade, I have had the honor of serving the 16th district. This tenure has given me invaluable insights into the specific needs and aspirations of our community. I have worked closely with residents, local leaders, and organizations to address various issues and bring about positive change. My record of service demonstrates my commitment to listening to constituents, understanding their concerns, and taking decisive action to improve their quality of life.

My platform is built on the principles of faith, family, and freedom. I believe that our government should reflect these core values, ensuring that every decision made benefits the people we serve. Faith guides my actions and decisions, providing a moral compass that keeps me grounded and focused on the greater good. Family is the cornerstone of our society, and I am dedicated to promoting policies that strengthen family units, support parents, and protect the sanctity of life. Freedom is the bedrock of our nation, and I will fight to preserve our constitutional rights, individual liberties, and the principles of democracy that make our country great.

As your senator, I will bring the values, experience, and courage necessary to stand and serve our district, state, and nation. My commitment to faith, family, and freedom will guide my efforts to create a better future for all of us. I ask for your support and trust to continue this important work, ensuring that our government remains a true representation of the people it serves. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous community for generations to come.

Thank you,
Marty
