ZEBULON - The Pride of Pike 4th of July Celebration is scheduled for June 29th, 2019 at 4:00 pm at the Pike County Soccer Complex. As usual, the event will include vendors, inflatables, live music, and a fireworks display - with an added tractor show for this year since they will be in the parade that ends at the festival location.
As we all know, Pike County is now the proud title holder of state championship for our baseball team. This is exciting and certainly something to be proud of. Therefore, a parade has been planned prior to the event. The Pride of Pike Independence Day Parade will begin at 3:30 featuring the Pike County HS Baseball Team as the grand marshal.
The parade is open to anyone and everyone so we will be accepting applications for that until June 25th. The route will be the same as the rec departments opening day route: from the corner of Old Meansville and HWY 19 to the soccer fields.
There are two ways that the community can make this event a success before the event is even held. Individuals and businesses can become an event sponsor at the $100, $200, $300 or $500 level, and individuals and businesses can be a vendor at the event.
