ZEBULON - The Board of Assessors held a Special Called Meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting was attended by Board Members Brent Taylor, Parrish Swift, and Lyn Smith along with County Attorney / Manager Rob Morton.

Pike County Times made a Facebook Live of the meeting with a Part 1 (before the Executive Session began) and a Part 2 (when the Executive Session ended and the public was allowed back in the room). This can be found on the Reels section of Pike County Times' Facebook page. This and other meetings can also be found on the Pike County Times YouTube Channel after the initial 30 days when Facebook deletes long meetings.

The meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. The agenda was approved with a Silent Invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. This meeting was held to discuss personnel.

Motion to go into Executive Session at 5:35 p.m.

Members came back into Regular Session at 6:05 p.m.

No votes were taken as a result of Executive Session. County Attorney / Manager Morton advised that the minutes needed to reflect that Board Member Smith asked for compensation documentation in the Executive Session.

Chairman Parrish Swift advised that the Board did not have a board secretary represent them in the meeting. He recorded the meeting and took the minutes for the meeting.
